Oxmardyke 1986

A rather grand NER box, Oxmardyke is situated on the Hull-Selby line. Reduced to gate box status, the layout it controls is a shadow of it's former self. Since these pictures were taken the layout has been further reduced by the removal of the slow lines.

General view of frame and gate-wheel (the 'gate' wheel actually controls barriers)

Levers and block shelf. The instruments and bells merely repeat the indications of the instruments in Gilberdyke signal box to enable the crossing keeper to keep track of train movements.
